Lebron all the way homie. look at Lebrons first 4 seasons in the NBA and look at Kobes..Lebron got rookie of the year, took his team to the finals on his back..yea kobe has rings but shaq got the MVP's..so how is Kobe the best player when he wasnt the best player on his team? cuz shaq was. and James got the all star MVP earlier than kobe did. lebron knows how to get his team way more involved than kobe, kobe only does it cuz the media talks about him hogging the ball..and thats when he starts to pass. i cant stand kobe, nothing but a fake a$s michael jordan. he will never be jordan or better than him...lebron is 23 and is playing better than everyone in the NBA..the only thing kobe can do better is play defense and shoot the 3, and in the clutch yea kobe is the man but lebron is improving in all those areas..and please nobody say "but Kobe had 81 points, until lebron does that then kobe is better" shut up n get outta here with all that..i hate when people say that..81 when the raptors were one of the worst teams in the nba, try that on detroit or san antonio...get his a$s mopped up by the defense. or if this was the 80's or 90's when defense was really good and you score 81 points, then we have something to talk about. david robinson scored 71 and does that make him better than shaq? no. kobe, just because the lakers have lost to the cavaliers twice this year doesnt mean anything. it was team vs team not kobe vs lebron one on one. you say the raptors suck and he scored 81 points, he scored 62 on dallas and he didnt play the last quarter, also kobe has said hes not trying to be jordan. another big thing is that lebron himself said that kobe is the best player in the NBA

honestly, i like both players similarly and from the pov of someone who doesn't like one player more, kobe is definetely better. defensively, there is no question kobe is better and there isn't that much more to say about that. offensively, kobe is still better. he is much more finely tuned than lebron. kobe is simply just a better one on one player than lebron and is an underrated passer. lebron is a great offensive player but he still has a couple flaws that put him below kobe. although he has shown improvements this year, he is still no where near kobe's level when it comes to shooting and late game performances. i think kobe is also a better post player than lebron too. lebron has better moves, athleticism and court vision than kobe but kobe's better shooting, defense and late game play is more than lebron's athleticism, moves and court vision. also, kobe's off the court leadership and work ethic is great and has to be considered as well. also lebron even said that kobe is the best player in the world.

to all the things about the 81 points, kobe's championships, lebron leading the cavs etc. those game achievements and team achievements have no factor in this at all. one player cannot have enough impact in a team achievement for it to be considered. also, for individual achievements, they just show one game which also is insignificant.

one last thing, you and a lot of other people should really change your views on basketball players. you shouldn't "hate" any of them. you do not know nearly enough about each person to have that view. just b/c the media says some bad things about him doesn't mean that you should hate him. all you know about him is the bad things the media tells you but i would assume that if you knew him personally, you'd view him as a completely different person.
