I hate how steve nash is absolutely so overrated, why is that?

Steve Nash is soooo overrated..i hate that. I mean yeah i have to admit he is a good passer and a good point guard, but I mean i heard people saying he's probably the best PG in history or simply just the NBA right now. I mean over A.I. no wayy!! People are never giving A.I. the credit he deserves..what just cause steve nash is averaging about 4 more assists than him he's sooo much better now. wth. A.I. is 3rd in the NBA in scoring..he plays the most minutes a game, never getting tired, and playing his heart out, and hes averaging 7.3 assists a game. He finds the open man, can break anyones ankles, and knows how to create a shot for himself. i hate when they say he's a ball hogg...with those numbers...no he's not. AND HE'S DEFINETELY SUPPOSED TO HAVE THAT ALL-STAR PG STARTER SPOT EVERY YEAR. he deserves a lott of credit. and plus unlike other players, AI has a lot of years left in him.

Iverson's ROCKS!! GO NUGGETSS!! (even tho im from chicago, who suck.

answwer please :)

I hate how steve nash is absolutely so overrated, why is that?nba tickets

If you like AI what does it matter what others think? They're both good players and have lots of fans.

But I don't agree with folks that claim Nash is the best PG ever. Not that he is a bad PG but he is not the best ever.

I hate how steve nash is absolutely so overrated, why is that?nba fights ,nba teams

Puleeeeese...What about Deron Williams who hands Chris Paul his butt on a platter every time he plays him. He can also shut down AI in a heartbeat. Steve Nash? He's one of my favorites, but he's no Stockton, no Magic, no Big O, but he's good in his own right. Can anyone tell I'm a Jazz fan???? lol
I don't think Nash is the best pg ever, but he's top 10 for sure.

his defense isn't really good at all. but he does what a point guard is supposed to do, improve his teams play, be a leader and make the passes.

i think ai is underrated, i dont know why people dont give him as much credit... i think he should be playing shooting guard actually, but he's never been in a position to do so. but still, he does very well at pg, and like you said , always plays his heart out.
Well he would not be so overrated if people would stop overrating him..
AI is good but Nash makes everyone else good. Didn't Ai start over Nash in the all star game??????
Iverson is a great player, much more talented than Nash, but will he be able to make Phoenix win as much as Nash can? That's why they really praise Nash.

But are there really a lot of people saying Nash is the greatest point guard EVER? I don't know anyone who says he is, but they say he is the best point guard right now - which in fairness may be true. But not of all time!

During Nash's MVP seasons, his scoring and passing and shooting percentage stats were pretty much an average season for Stockton (a great defender too) during his peak. And Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, and Bob Cousy's numbers were off the charts.

If people are in fact saying he is the greatest point guard ever, yes, that is overrating him, I agree. And if Iverson keeps being criticized, then that is underrating him!
He can't defend Nash is an horrible defender.
It's a tough comparison because when you think of a point guard they are usually pass first, shoot second, and A.I. is a shoot first pass second point guard.

I agree that Nash is very over-rated and there is no way that he is even in consideration as being the greatest of all-time: Magic Johnson , Oscar Robertson, John Stockton, Jason Kidd all have had better careers than Nash.

Iverson is one heck of a scorer and that's the strength of his game. Nash is a great distributor but he's no where near the best of all time.

A.I. is definitely having an all-star worthy year and hey the fans voted and they want to see the Answer start so all props to him!

Nickster
I bet if Jason Kidd was on the Suns, he'll be considered the best point gaurd too with all those all stars players to work with. but I can't take anything away from steve nash though, he's a bad a** player.
The main reason he is considered the best is you have to watch the suns play without him. Its a totally different team without him, that's why he stands out more than the other PGs. You could probably see a better offense run in acollegegame than when Nash is off the floor. They weren't a consistent playoff team until Nash got there. Now they are putting up 50-60 win seasons and title contenders. And yes Amare and Marion were there when they scrubs.

Don't get me wrong, every other PG in the league is more athletic, faster, and stronger than Nash. So in comparison and in head to head match-ups these players are more than likely going to outperform him on the stat sheet. The only difference is PHX wins the games. When the PG position is defined by making your team better that's why he is considered the best in the game today.

EDIT

And Steve Nash's MVP season's he had these stats along with leading the league in assists. %26gt;50% from the field, %26gt;40% from 3pt range, and %26gt;90% from the line. Only four other players in NBA history have ever done that.
The best PG is Chris Paul. But Steve Nash is still the best passing PG in the NBA averaging over 12 assists a game. He is also a great scorer. He averages 19 PPG and he could score more if not such a great sharer of the ball. If you have ever seen him in a game you would know that he can score. He has also won two consecutive MVPs and last year should have had three, which would make him one of the only players in history to do that. He might also be the best passing point guard ever to play and he makes everyone better, which is what a PG is supposed to be, not a scorer.
i know seriously

STEVE NASH CANNOT GUARD A ****** CHAIR!
Iverson's really good but Nash is way better. Definitely not overrated... HE'S THE BEST PG EVER!!!
he's good but if you give me marion, stoudemire, bell, and barbosa i would average 12 assists a game too. i would win 2 mvps also
Allen Iverson is more of a natural shooting guard than point guard. I would even put Mr. Triple Double -- Jason Kidd ahead of him if I were to make a list....low FG% be damned. How can the league MVP be overrated? The day Steve Nash joined the Suns they became a better team that's what a point guard is suppose to do. The Nuggets did not become an overnight success when AI joined them did they?
Wow..

I don't even really watch basketball and I know Steve Nash is one of the best players in the league

I'm a bulls fan and I would take Nash any day...
He's not overrated. He's the best point guard in the NBA (even though Chris Paul is quickly catching up and will probably take over as the best point guard in the league pretty soon.)
Nash is no where close to the best PG in history, probably not top 5, but he's still the best right now. He is a lights out shooter (47% from 3, come on), has lead the league is assists the past 3 years, and it's obvious how much better he makes his team. AI is great, but he's never been a good shooter (he's having a pretty good year with his FG%), and up until this year has averaged around 4 TO's a game, his assist to TO is always much lower than Nash's. They're both great, but as far as PG goes, Nash %26gt; AI
U sir r absolutely right finally someone with a brain better that Ivo never!! Iverson has got to be th best PG in the nba and i bet he'd wup nash in a one on one
he's not overrated besides he's not the greatest PG, and he's just a hall of famer PG
cuz he's white and whenever they get a chance to vote for a white MVP they do it on the spot cuz those chances don't come often anymore...its true
AI isn't even a PG he is a SG. He has a score first mentality most of the time. And I have heard very few people say Nash is the best PG ever. He is the best in the league right now, with Paul and other up and coming guys getting closer. Nash is clutch, he can find anyone and he makes everyone around him way better. AI seems to hinder his team mates more than he helps. I love AI but Nash is definitely better as a PG.
Nash is good at outside shooting, passing and speed, Absolutely horrible at everything else. Most of his success comes from the system he plays in anyway. Atleast with AI you get some kind of rebounding (despite the size) and amazing defense.
both Iverson and Nash rock!

they're both in my top5 favorites

Don't worry,

Iverson rocks, but he doesn't get acknowledged as the best PG in the game because he is not PURE PG,

most of his career in Philly, and even now in Denver, he's known as a Scoring Guard,

that's why

and Nash is still the best PG in the game,

people like him so much bcuz whenever Nash is injured,

the Suns are flatout as bad as KRAP
It's all about practice. Practice. Yeah I'm talking 'bout practice. A.I. is a piece of sh*t and ******s all the time. That is why Nash is considered better. I think Deron Williams was better than both of them last year. Chris Paul and Jason Kidd are above them all this year.
I agree Nash is overrated, but AI is no were near the best PG ever either. Ever heard of guys named Magic, Stockton, Big O, Hodini of the Hardwood? all those guys usurp both Nash and Iverson in many many ways.

Why is so much blame put on Allen Iverson???

he's one of only a handful of players in the last 10-15 years to live up to his billing and actually have a hall of fame career. its alot of nba players averaging double digits...but they are not hall of fame players.

they ask him to score and carry the team, he does that...but they say that he shoots too much..., they say he didnt pass enough...he one of the most unselfish players in the NBA,...now they saying that he has to make the "other players better"...you can put all the weight of everyone's ability on one guy,....its absurd.....he plays for the USA in the olympic, while alot of the other all star players opted not to go, and he doesnt get invited this time...??? go figure...

you cant blame the guy for everything

Why is so much blame put on Allen Iverson???nba referee

Practice is essential, this guy just has no idea what a team is, and because of that he'll never win a championship.

He's a great individual talent, no doubt about it, but individuals do not win championships alone- they need a good team supporting them.

Unless he opens himself up to that idea by attending practice and working things out with teammates and a coach, he's going to be looked at with pity, because he has so much potential that he's wasting.

Why is so much blame put on Allen Iverson???basketball tickets ,nba teams

Cuz thats how it is now a days in the NBA. If your team isn't doing well on a regular basis they blame the guy who is the leader/star on the team and who is makin the most money, in this case, that would be Allen Iverson. Allen can't do it all and it's not like the team around him isn't good, it's solid, but its inconsistent and that costs them games and evidently, costed them the playoffs. He's the official scape goat really, just like Shaq was with Lakers, when we lost in the NBA Finals to Detroit...

Who'd the management blame? Shaq. Whose fault was it? The entire team's for playin like **** and gettin worked, but of course, the scape goat was Shaq, thats how it is, in this case, the scape goat is AI...its a horrible thing, but thats the NBA for you...
In the past, you can blame that A.I. is the only good players in the 76ers. No one can help him. Therefore, it is understandable for his selfish style and losing game stat.

However, 76ers got Chris Webber this year to help him but 76ers still sucks. You know, it's not others, it is Chris Webber. One of the best forward in NBA. Then, 76ers still won't change anything. AI still keeping his 30 times FG per game. 76ers still sucks. The most important is he ruin the career of Chris Webber.
bcuz he a young black man, wit braids, and tattoos.
he's the "leader" dude.who else is to blame???ya can't change that.iverson is the image of the sixers.whatever happens to it.it always comes down to A.I.whether they win or lose.
Allen Iverson is the best!!
He's the best player on the team and one of the best players in the league. When you think about the Sixers, the first thing that will pop up will probably be Allen Iverson. Plus, when people do something wrong, they want someone else to blame.
He's said to be the leader of the Sixers and you can't blame the people that expect too much from him. There are people who just put blame on someone when they lose and when in time of victory the heroics of Iverson are not seen or noticed. The 30+ shots Iverson takes are necessary because he's the one that brings the team to success unlike Bryant who just wants to make a name and dreaming in bringing the title of MJ of the greatest Baskeball Player ever..Iverson is better than Kobe
Beacuse he takes 30 shots every game. So in winning he's a hero and in his team losing he's the villain. Nuff said!
I have no idea. He averages 33 points and 7.5 assists - last year he became the first person to be in the top five in ppg, apg, and spg. His teammates are inconsistent. Korver will score 20 one game and come back with 4 the next. He shot 45% or so from the field but one game he would miss 5 threes and the next shoot 100%. Andre Iguodala was also unreliable, even though he is one of my favorite players. He was much like Korver. John Salmons must be the most selfish bad player in the league. You'd figure when you are that bad you would try to distribute the ball to look good, but he would take it himself everytime. He'd have the ball stolen more often than not. But of all of the 76ers, Samuel Dalembert had to be the worst. At one point, he had missed 5 STRAIGHT LAYUPS/DUNKS. 5. That's inexusable. And every few plays he would be called for a goaltend. After rebounds he would fire his passes into the stands. Constantly fight for rebounds with his teammates, too. And he would foul everyone that came within 2 feet of him. Webber actually had a great year. The only reason that he gets blamed is because Allen Iverson is better and those two didn't really fit. Had Webber been the better player, Iverson would be the one getting the blame.
I dont know its not A.I.s fault is the 76ers franchise they havent done anything to get a good team around him.

Wow, maybe the NHL should get some thugs or a unfaithful refs or some goalies that are into killing

This is ridcoiuls all i see when i turn on the TV is

stupid s hit about some star quater back or some baseball player or some gambling going on in the NBA i can not stand it, it does not make sense to me why people would watcht these ungreatful thug as s fools on TV instead of good sports men like hockey players WHY????????????

Wow, maybe the NHL should get some thugs or a unfaithful refs or some goalies that are into killing dogs..?nba mock draft

It's just like I answered in a previous question and what Puckdat said......average people are into simplistic things. It's why Britney Spears sells and classical doesn't...it takes too much thinking to understand more complex things. The "thug" culture that you all stated is simplistic, and thus more people will fall into it. Hockey takes knowledge and two skills.....that of being able to play it, and then the ability to do that while on skates. Not as easy as getting a ball and throwing it around.

Wow, maybe the NHL should get some thugs or a unfaithful refs or some goalies that are into killing dogs..?nba scores ,nba teams

Touche. I love hockey and I have found your ether into it or you not. I have Friends who dis it, saying all they do is fight all the time. I blame the media, because they love to show the fights and make fun. It is my favorite sport. Players are friendlier and are willing to sign autographs [for free] and take photos with there fans. Its full of action, grace, and skill. Remember all ways keep your stick on the ice.
Now thats a hell of a point. Hockey does deserve more coverage on tv. But untill Betmann stops ******* the leauge up, they wont. They need a contract to have hockey back on espn. They would get more coverage. As for the thug coverage, thats true. They dont deserve all this coverage, at least not half of it. But, when it is one of the highest paid players in the NFL, well, thats not going to go away unforutenitly.
This sh!t is pissing me off. ESPN, STOP BEING GAY!!! Bettman better put hockey back on espn, or I'm gonna get even more pissed.
Thats true, more NBA,MLB and NFL scandals than NHL scandals. USA likes football, baseball and basketball more than hockey so there is lots of coverage for those sports. Here in Canada we see lots of hockey news but nothing more than the odd scandal. The average hockey player has more respect for rules than a football player etc. but NFL,NBA, and MLB are bigger in the states and so players are more competitive and take steroids etc.. If your a hockey player for Florida Panthers, seriously is there much pressure to win.
The hockey world has had it鈥檚 share of controversy over the years. We have had many players and true-fans fall prey to drug-abuse, gambling, alcoholism, etc鈥?

Don鈥檛 get me wrong. 鈥?I am not sticking up for other pro-sports and I do GET your points but we are no angels. Our records are not squeaky-clean.

Still 鈥?pound for pound (other then WG) more hockey players and fans (opposed to other sports) come through for their local communities or personal issues more often, and with more passion and unselfishness. %26lt;--- Maybe you should focus on this issue instead of attempting to sell an unblemished image.
The most common scandal in hockey over the years seems to be drinking and driving. While I am in no way trying to diminish just how serious this crime is, it is one that you seem to see the average Joe commit. Hockey players, even those with huge salaries, seem to be more down-to-earth and able to handle the life of a professional athlete. A friend of mine went to the airport after the Sens beat out Buffalo and the players she met - including Alfie - were courteous enough to let her know where they were going that evening and to introduce her to other players (and no, it's not what you're thinking - she's forty and no supermodel). We have a great sport with many true gentlemen playing it , especially now that we're rid of Yashin. It's unfortunate that major American networks won't give it a fair chance.
Same reason rap and the gangsta culture sells. The average Joe is a moron.
It's a double standard. If there was a hockey player who had done any of these things the sports world would just use it as a reason to hate hockey even more.

Even though nobody likes to admit it, hockey players have the best sportsmanship of any league in the world. NBA, MLB, and NFL players are all spoiled brats while hockey players are more humble and actually love playing hockey.
That is VERY true, I noticed that on ESPN, all I would hear is all about the Yankees, when they were 12 1/2 games behind the Red Sox. All the sports channels that are national, just talk about all that bull. I try to only watch local sports channels, because they actually talk about teams that matter to me, not all this crud you see on ESPN. It seems like ESPN is trying to appeal to the females, and gossip loving people instead of the diehard sports fans.
Good point
Because this crap sells and that's all the media is concerned about. It's disgusting, I know.
Hockey is just not as big as those sports so if a player were to do some of the bad things other sports stars do it'd just be frowned upon and people would continue to look down on it. It's ridiculous that a hockey player injuring another player is worse than killing dogs or raping underage girls. And why is bonds home run record important if he was on steroids the whole time but Sosa's records were questioned for the accidental use of a corked bat.(i'll give him the benefit of the doubt)

It also doesn't help that hockey players are not as presentable as other athletes. Usually not the best looking and not great talkers if it be because they're shy, foreign or just Canadian. ;P
Perhaps, but this is one reason I actually like the NHL's under-the-radar status.

Hockey's exposure on ESPN is limited to two minutes on SportsCenter for the occasional highlight or dead horse-beating on how barbaric of a sport they portray it to be (F them), but I like the fact that the sport isn't so overblown, unlike the NFL. Yeah, Michael Vick is a douche, but it's a one-day story. That's it. Same thing with Big Ben's motorcycle crash last year. I get sick of how much time is put into these kinds of stories.

KOBE BRYANT SUCKS!!!!

Have Kobe Bryant surpassed Magic Johnson or Larry Bird?nba mock drafts

I agree kobe has won four playoff games since SHAQ daddy left and has proved he cant get it done by himself. MJ, Magic, and Bird made the guys around them better kobe doesnt. KObe is not the Greatest player ever!!!

SO all the stupid laker fans just need to keep quiet

Have Kobe Bryant surpassed Magic Johnson or Larry Bird?nba street ,nba teams

I think your assessment of Kobe Bryant is a bit unfair. Kobe is a great player. Without him, the Lakers would have been battling the Celtics for ping pong balls in the lottery. No he is not MJ, he isn't Bird, and he isn't Magic. He is an incredible talent. Lets assess where he stands with the greats once he finishes his career.
he has surpassed them at being a prima donna crybaby ballhog
Dude ur just a biased little idiot that doesn't know what he's talking about. I mean a lot of the stinking topics you brought up, kobe didn't even participate in. Who the hell cares about NCAA titles, you can't compare him to magic and bird in that because he was so good he didn't need to go to college! Olympic medals is also an unfair topic, because kobe's never been in the olympics.

A lot of the stuff ur comparing is totally stupid because all three of these players are good at different things, why don't you bring up topics like All-NBA first team, All NBA first defensive team, single game accomplishments, and everyone will clearly see that kobe has already far surpassed what Magic and Bird ever did, and KOBE'S NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH HIS CAREER!!!!!! Kobe is a better overall player than Magic and Bird, and he's definitly better than Jordan.
By scoring 81pts in a game is not easy ,is not just keep shooting,if its just shooting, why cant others superstar came close...
He has passed them in that he's a bigger jerk, rapist, baby and egomainiac assbag.
Dwayne wade can't even be compared to Lebron.

DWAYNE WADE SUCKS!!!!
I dont really like Bryant, but come on. Nobody is going to believe what you wrote. Do you seriously think Kobe sucks. If you do than you don't know basketball. Give the guy the respect he deserves. He can give it to you any way he wants to. From outside or inside. All the numbers of titles you are showing doesn't mean anything. They had great supporting casts. Kobe's doing it by himself. And he is better individually than both of them. Those numbers of titles dont mean anything. IF you like number so much look at this, 81. Not to mention that he can also get his teamates involved. Kobe is a great player, whether you like him or not. Dont disrespect.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Put Bird or Magic on any team, in any era EVER and their team automatically joins the conversation about who will win the championship.

Kobe is active now and playing under the conditions he (and the rest of the City of L.A.) begged for just before Shaq was forced out.

The Lakers were not even in the playoffs the first year after Shaq left and Shaq has won a title with the Heat.

Magic and Bird were not only liked but truly loved by their teammates. Do you think Kobe gets that same "love". HIGHLY UNLIKELY.

(I can hear the chatter by youngsters)

That's "old school" that was "then" blah blah blah blah blah blah. I keep hearing young people talk. The sad fact is many of them wouldn't know a good basketball game if it jumped up and bit them in the butt.

Kobe has a long way to go. While he has already shot more times than Bob McAdoo14,751 to Bryant's 14,760 he has already missed 739 more times than McAdoo.

So Kobe is #52 in all time attempts and number #66 in field goals made. If Kobe is so freaking "great" of a shooter, why isn't he #52 or better in SHOTS GOING IN as well?

Kobe Bryant does not suck, he just shoots too much. Actually, if he would pass more he would be less predictable. Those double and triple teams that he shoots against would not be as aggressive. What's more, he would actually SCORE MORE because a higher percentage of his shots would be going in. Who knows how many more 50+ point games he would have...

Plus, he wouldn't have to hit those freaking playground "sloppers" that clang off the rim for an instant fast break for the other team.

If my last few statements sound like nonsense to you, then you don't know the first thing about basketball.

Don't send me any hate mail until you have been to a basketball camp with pro coaches and players, or played for people with NCAA championships or highly revered high school coaches (like me).

Who would win in a game of 2 on 2, Kobe Bryant & Steve Nash v.s. Michael Jordan & John Stock

I'd say MJ %26amp; Stockton all the way.....

Reasons:

8 NBA Finals combined

6 NBA Titles (per MJ)

8 Conference Titles combined

5 Steal titles combined

10 Scoring Titles (per MJ)

9 Assist Titles (per Stockton)

6 Finals MVP (per MJ)

5 Seaon MVP (per MJ)

3 Gold Medals combined

4X All-Star MVP combined

1 NCAA Title (per MJ)

1 Defensive Player of the Year award (per MJ)

Anyways, MJ %26amp; Stockton's stats speak for themselves. They'll blow Kobe %26amp; Nash away. MJ is a better scorer then Kobe %26amp; Stockton is a better assister then Nash. MJ %26amp; Stockton are better defenders as well.........

MJ %26amp; Stockton all away!

P.S. Out of the 4 only 3 of them are team players...and that's to bad for Nash because his teammate is the one that's not a team player!

KOBE BRYANT SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Who would win in a game of 2 on 2, Kobe Bryant %26amp; Steve Nash v.s. Michael Jordan %26amp; John Stockton (prime years)?nba live 2007

Kobe %26amp; Nash....Easy.

Who would win in a game of 2 on 2, Kobe Bryant %26amp; Steve Nash v.s. Michael Jordan %26amp; John Stockton (prime years)?nba betting ,nba teams

MJ %26amp; Stockton. Stockton is the all-time leader in steals and assists. And we all know what MJ can do scoring-wise.
looks like you answered your own question... good job
Stockton Jordan 60% of the games.

Nash and Kobe are really close to both these guys at their position. but the weak link is Nash's defense. i think Stockton can lock him down. if either Kobe or Jordan get hot this team will win though.
MJ Stockton, because MJ simply would not lose in his prime to a punk like Kobe. Nash is better than stockton though. and Yeah i agree with you Kobe sucks donkeys.
Bill Russell (11 rings) and Sam Jones (10 rings), with a total of 21 rings, would kick all of their a ss es.

They also combined for 23 conference titles, compared to 8 for Jordan/Stockton.

They knew how to win...all the time.

btw, which 3 are team players? I know Stockton and Nash are, but who else is?

http://airjudden2.tripod.com/jordan/inde...

http://airjudden2.tripod.com/ejf/indexf....
I notice you didn't put any effort into puting Kobe and Nash's stats up, not that stats matter in a 2on2 game anyway. Besides, the only reason Stockton got all those assists was because he was constantly dumping it down to Malone off pick and rolls.

Kobe and Nash would win. Nash is a more precise passer, not to mention a WAY better shooter, and Kobe is the better scorer. M.J. doesn't have the range or handles Kobe does.
kobe and nash

stockton is too old
What kind of question is that of course MJ and Stockton! Have you ever watched any of their all-star games. I bet you never even watched a game with MJ or Stockton in it. Thats like Areans and Shaq VS. Isaia Thomas and Malone! You are retarted you never even heard of the word NBA!
MJ STOCKTON

I like kobe and MJ matchup, but Nash is a team player, not much of anything else. Stockton could take him 1v1 thus giving it to MJ JS.
MJ and Nash is a better combination
They can play against each other 100 times and it would be close to even. They're all so talented that it'd be a toss up.

What NBA Player Would Have A Chance To Be In The NFL?

Lebron James many people dont know he was a good reciever in high school
i would say, allen iverson, or nate robinson...those guys got the heart of a lion!!!!plus they whoop up on guys bigger than them everynight!!!!
Dennis Rodman
Ben Wallace- he's huge
Steve Nash as a kicker
Glen Davis.. Boston Celtics
Yao Ming
Shaq...did you see how fast his team got out of the way last night when he was headed for them...then again he could only probably run one play then he would have to be taken out...so I will say LeBron...he is big and athletic.
i would venture to guess that most were stars in high school but i want to see shaq as a tight end
Shaq. Offensive Line. In his prime he would have made a good DE.
LeBron James. Guy is freakin' athletic!

How much do you think i could sell my PS2 + Games for? Plus PS3 Question. thanks :)?nba finals 2007

Yes, the 40GB PS3 is a good price for $399 with the 2 extra included games. The 2 included games with the 40GB is something new, so take advantage of it.

I think that you should try to sell your stuff on Ebay or try going to a pawn shop and see how much they will give you. EB games wont be giving you much for what you are trying to sell.

I think that you should sell the PS2 console for $50 dollars.

The PS2 gams should sell for $10 dollars each, and the PS1 games should sell for $5 dollars each and the 2 PS2 controllers should sell for $10 dollars.

So the total comes to: $345.

You may not be able to get $345, but I think that you should be able to get at least $200+ dollars for everything. The games that you are trying to sell are pretty old, but there is probably someone out there that may be looking for the games that you are trying to sell.

Good luck.

Which athlete was better at age 40 & up ( Michael Jordan, George Foreman, Bernard Hopkins )?

1. MJ was the 1st %26amp; only 40 year old to score 40 %26amp; over in the NBA, he kept up a 20+ ppg average, still was hitting clutch shots, surpassed Kareem in all-star game total points, %26amp; he started as an all-star.

2. Big George became the oldest heavyweight champion at age 45.

3. The Executioner reached is record holding 20 titles defenses of the middleweight title at age 40 %26amp; at age 41 he moved up in weight %26amp; became the light-heavyweight champion by defeating the well respected Antonio Tarver.

ALL OF THESE ATHLETES ARE GREAT BUT WHAT George Forman did will never be duplicated in less he came out of retirement and beat Keleso now
Foreman hands down.
MJ !!!
bernard hopkins
Gordie Howe
Wilt Chamberlain was the best athlete ever at any age.

He schooled NBA centers in scrimmages in the 1980s and turned down contract offers at 50.

Foreman was not THE champ. He had a belt.

MJ got a lot of free passes on the court. Wilt was still better.

Starting tommorow.........?

which nba team will play the most games until the all star break starting tomorrow. (not the entire first half of the season)

Starting tommorow.........?nba finals 2007

my answer is the l.a laker , golden states warriors , portland trial blazer ,boston celtics , milwakee bulks and the cleveland cal..

Lol isnt it funny how many dumb GMs are controlling a good team.?

Suns with shaq: hes 36 years old 325+ pounds ... and have up a young star and Shaq has a rediculous contract.

Mavs and Kidd: Hes 35 years old and can still plays but only have 1 or 2 more season in his health. Also giving up future stars.

Now the Cavs with Ben Wallace. Hes 33 years old and he is not the same from before also he has a REDICULOUS contract. Ben Wallace is done, he might have alittle bit on him but he cant do it anymore. Young centers such as Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, greg oden and more have come to the Nba and they are Huge. but look at Wallace he was good before but not anymore and hes only 6-9. Cavs has illgaskus and really Gooden%26gt;Wallace.

Why are these gms making dumb desperation moves? Do tehy really do it for the spot light or what? they should just give up becuase they wont be able to trade trash for a 27 year old 7-0 All Star. What you guys think.

Lol isnt it funny how many dumb GMs are controlling a good team.?nba standings

It all comes down to money...

They would rather have a superstar

Who would sell more jerseys and merchandise, Shaq or Marion?

The same goes with Harris and Kidd

Lol isnt it funny how many dumb GMs are controlling a good team.?nba referee ,nba teams

Theres a lot of desperate GM's in the NBA!!Dallas needs to get a big man the can rebound and block shots so they get Kidd a point guard and send there only good big man that plays"D"

Cleveland needs a point guard so they trade for 2 big men and a very slow guard that cant play "D" This makes there team very slow now!!

The Suns get a fat Shaq that slows there team down!!There coach only knows how to coach a up and down style!!
Funny the Suns played last night and still managed to score 124 points with Shaq. Stoudemire had 37 points and 15 rebounds. Although I can't stand the Suns it was a good trade for them but they actually need a point guard that can defend and take care of the ball until they get rid of Nash they will never sniff a championship.

The Mavs well they stole Kidd away from New Jersey. Anyone who thinks Harris is better then Kidd that's a laugh. 99 triple doubles to 0. That's all I have to say. Has Harris even gotten near 10 assists in a game? Maybe a couple of times that's it. Harris is not a point guard and is nowhere near the player Kidd is even at Kidd's age.

The Cavs got Ben Wallace and this will energize Lebron because Joe Smith is a very decent power forward coming ff the bench he was the most consistent player on the Bulls. Wallace still can rebound but wasn't be used much during certain situations with the bulls I can see a rejuvenation with Lebron. The Cavs also got Wally Szerbiak who is still a great shooter which will be great because the Cavs can put Gibson on one side and then Wally on the otherside so it's pick your poison on who is going to shoot the 3.
Wally is better than Hughes. I don't care what Hughes has done his last 5 games, you have to look at the track record and Hughes has been a disappointment ever since he got here.

Joe Smith is as good as if not better than Drew Gooden. The guy is a solid vet who, though his J might not be as good as Drew's, is a much better defender than Drew.

Delonte West is better than Donyell Marshall, Shannon Brown, or Cedric Simmons. Maybe all of them put together. That's not saying much, but it is an upgrade + dropping excess garbage from the roster.

Oh yeah, we also got the 4 time defensive player of the year. Is he bad offensively? Yes. Really bad? Yes. But then again, it's not like we're losing an offensive powerhouse in Ira Newble.

Josh Smith?

Do you think he'll be on the all-star team? The kid is one of the most talented players in the NBA and would be very entertaining to watch.

Just look at his numbers -

PPG - 18

RPG - 8

APG - 4

SPG - 2

BPG - 3

Josh Smith?nba draft lottery

he should be, but joe johnson should be an all star before josh smith gets it.

Josh Smith?nba lottery ,nba teams

He won't be on the All-Star team no. I do agree with you he is one of the most entertaining players in the league, but that being said he's not an All-Star quite just yet. Still needs to improve his jump shot a little more, but the kid is all over the court and is going to make the Hawks happy for years to come
No I don't think so. If he keeps improving, next year could be his year. He has great numbers though, in all categories. If any player that plays for the Atlanta Hawks gets a selection, it should be Joe Johnson.
I would love it if Josh was on the All-Star team. He is a great player. He is the youngest player to reach 500 blocks. He is amazing. Not to mention his awesome dunks. I wouldn't care if Joe or josh made it, as long as one of them makes it!
I think Smith and JJ would take votes away from each other, the team is not having a decent month, JJ or Smith would make it by default someway if they went. Too bad they have Woodbrain for a coach, lol
Borderline all star caliber player but he turns the ball over too much and is always in foul trouble.

I watched a lot of Hawks basketball and he could give you 20 pts, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 5 blocks a night and then 7 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 8 turnovers, no steal and no block the other night. So consistency is an issue.

Without looking at team records, I would select Chris Bosh, Gerald Wallace, Caron Butler and Paul Pierce ahead of Smith.
He should be there. I agree with the first post though.

Joe Deserves his second before J-Smoove gets his first.
I think Josh Smith and Joe Johnson should make it to the all-star game.
Maybe, maybe not.
Josh Smith's nickname should be "Mr. Everything" because he can do it all and yes he should be i mean you cant ignore those numbers.
He is a great player but won't make the cut for the East All-Stars in my opinion
soon, next season at the soonest, but more realistically, two years, give him time to either expand and improve his game ie better mid-range shot, or just get better at what he's already doing damn good at...not this year...

Kobe %26amp; Nash both are respectible players in the NBA. Nash has his own style %26amp; Kobe has his own. You cant really compare them.

Both are great players.
Nash no question. He's a better team player.
Nash. He gets his teammates involved, knows how to actually PASS the ball, and is commited to winning. Kobe just wants to look good.

Steve Nash, worst player in the NBA huh?? You don't strike me as someone who knows a whole lot about basketball. Hey, how 'bout them Grizzlies??? Goin' to the Finals next year, right??? ;-)
steve nash by far because he just does his job and is not

a crybaby like kobe.you forget there are a lot worse than these two.
That's easy It's definetly not Kobe, but even though he good he doesnt have to be a serious hog.

So I choose Steve Nash because he is a mad playmaker and he passes, thats something Kobe doesnt do.

Am I the only one who thinks Reggie Miller wasn't that great?

A question here was asked which retired Jordan Era NBA player deserved to win a championship but didn't. He listed Malone %26amp; Stockton, Barkley, Ewing, %26amp; Reggie Miller. Personally I don't think Miller deserves to be on that list at all but there were quite a few statements like this:

"Reggie Miller is probably the best ever not to win a ring.

You would expect nothing of this guy but just consistency.

He is the most consistent player in his league (excluding Jordan)."

My argument would be Reggie Miller is only a 5 time All-Star, Malone went 14 times, Ewing %26amp; Barkley went 11, Stockton went 10. Miller was never an NBA 1st Teamer (3rd team, 3 times), never finished in the top 10 in MVP voting, %26amp; has no appearances on the All Defensive Team.

I would say in his era, Miller was maybe the 2nd or 3rd best SG in the East. He's nowhere near the same class as Jordan or Drexler mostly because of his lack of defense. I would list Miller slightly above Mitch Richmond %26amp; Latrell Sprewell.

Am I the only one who thinks Reggie Miller wasn't that great?nba update

I completely agree. People tend to be so caught up in his spectacular clutch plays that they overlook the numerous deficiencies in his game. For those who never watched Miller play (which seem like many of the posters above), the guy was a poor ball-handler, a poor passer, and a poor rebounder. To compensate for his mediocre defense, he took the art of flopping to a level that would embarrass even Vlade Divac.

But what effectively separated him from the players of the upper echelon was his inability to create his own shot. His offensive repertoire consisted solely of running defenders off screens for wide open jumpers. He was more or less a Rip Hamilton with a longer range. To his credit, Reggie was an exceptional pure-shooter and clutch performer but his one-dimensional game and inadequacies in all other aspects of the game make him a second-tier star at best.

Am I the only one who thinks Reggie Miller wasn't that great?nba mock draft ,nba teams

If you haven't seen his showdown with Larry Bird and the NY Knickerbockers you should keep your opinions by yourself.

He's clutch and clutch shots makes you great.

Additional:

Horry wasn't the one leading his team, On the other hand Miller is the Pacers, and will forever be in it's history books as their best player to date until someone actually leads them to the gold.
Reggie Miller was great -- at kicking defenders in the chest, then falling backwards, and then somehow getting to shoot freethrows!!! I can't count how many times I saw him do that -- and it always made me mad!
Yeah he sucks. He only scored 8 points in 8.9 seconds. He only is more clutch than anyone and has more 3 pointers than any one in the History of the NBA. He only had (24) four point plays. He also was Handicap at a young age and wore leg braces to walk. Just another Joe, come on dude....lol. He stood up against Michael and the Bulls and Pat and the knicks like nobody else. He was a WARRIOR...
i do not agree with you but i know you aren't alone.....
RE: Mark

I agree with Murder that hitting 40+ game winning shots has nothing to do with anything. All that means is that Reggie Miller's teams played in WAY MORE close games than Jordan did because Jordan was busy burying teams and hitting clutch shots for championships. Miller had to hit all of those shots to win regular season games and has nothing to show for it, probably because he got torched on the other side of the court all of the time. Nobody is questioning his offensive skills here.

If I were to pick an all time NBA team, Miller wouldn't be in the top ten on my shooting guard list.

_____________________

No corresponding facts or whatsoever? Miller has ZERO rings, and less career steals than Kendall Gill and Jeff Hornacek, and barely cracks the top 100 of ALL TIME in assists...Charles Barkley has more assists than Miller for Pete's sake and Barkley played on three different teams!

Again, I'm not saying Miller wasn't clutch or couldn't hit a 3, I just agree that realistically it didn't do much for him and his team.

___________

I'd like to know how I suck at this when you're posting basically opinions about how good two really good coaches and one average player thought Miller was.

Here's some Reggie Miller facts

1. All NBA 3rd Team 3 times meaning that in his 15 year NBA career, Miller was the 3rd best shoting guard in the league only three times. The other 12 years of his career, the majority of his career I might add, he wasn't even the 4th best shooting guard in the league AS VOTED BY 129 MEMBERS OF THE PRESS.

2. Not ONE appearance on the NBA All Defensive team in FIFTEEN YEARS - The All Defensive Team is voted by the COACHES.

3. Reggie Miller, #7 in all time minutes played (7,000+ more than Jordan) is only #34 in all time steals, Jordan is #2 on that list with giving Miller a 7,000+ list cushion.

4. Miller doesn't even show up in the top 200 of all time, Jordan on the other hand is #88 in all time blocks, ahead of Barkley and Larry Bird.

5. Miller isn't in the top 250 all time in total rebounds. Michael Jordan is #111, ahead of Magic and Sloan.

FACT: Miller's game is ONE DIMENSIONAL and I just listed a bunch of facts to prove it ADDED to the fact that you keep giving me excuses on why if Miller was such a complete player and leader, why did he never get to the Finals?
Watch the games when Jordan and Miller went at it. He is as clutch as anybody is.

Jordan had only 25 game-winning shots.

Miller had 40+ of them.

-------------------------------

It's your opinion, so there's nothing wrong with that.

-------------------------------

Isn't he complete?

25,279 points, 4,141assists, 4182 rebounds, 1,505 steals.

Tell me other players who have the same record or even more than what Reggie Miller had.

--------------------------------

rick whoever, if you would look at Reggie's lineup then, tell me, who do you consider an All-Star?

That just means Reggie is ice-cold come pressure times.

Bad logic you gave there, does that mean that Reggie played in games that were decided 3 or less points in 40 games?

Jordan had missed way too many clutch shots, because his team was also like Miller's team.

And if i were you, i'd study a bit more than bash my thoughts without no corresponding facts or whatsoever.

-------------------------------

See, your illogical conception on us is that we came from Indiana.

You see your stupidity right there.

Does it mean that if we love Dennis Rodman then we came from San Antonio or Chicago?

Go and talk to the sports analysts and ask them on how great is Reggie Miller. They will tell you something that ignorant fools never knew.

------------------------

how about you read this and then tell me what to say, http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/reggie_tr...

Those people are LEGIT commentators on Reggie's play, not just like you who thinks he's not great.

---------------------------

here are some excerpts, in case you don't want to read:

Byron Scott - “You all know about Reggie Miller, the player, and his numbers are Hall of Fame worthy. I could go on and on and I’m sure he’d like me to do just that, but I’d rather tell you about Reggie Miller the person. Reggie is a warrior. He’s a competitor who plays as hard now as he did in his rookie season, a competitor who plays until the final buzzer sounds, as the Knicks found out in the ’95 playoffs. He’s a competitor who wants the ball on the final possession, who wants to take that final shot. And, quite honestly, who else would you want the ball to go to with the game on the line?”

“Reggie is a leader. He’s one of the first to arrive at practice, one of the last to leave. How many Pacers have become better basketball players simply because they spent time in the same locker room and on the same court with Reggie Miller"

PAt Riley - "Reggie Miller, like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, was the quintessential professional basketball player. Nobody plays this game, at that level, for as long as he has, without doing the things necessary to be great. He was a hard-working, conditioned professional basketball player and I had nothing but the highest respect for him. The years that New York and Indiana, and Miami and Indiana in particular, competed against one another, he was the one that put the most fear in me as a coach."

Jerry Sloan - “I've admired Reggie a great deal over the years I've watched him play because he's a guy that has gotten as much out of his talent as anybody that's played and still enjoys playing. After a guy plays 18 years, you look at 'em and a lot of times they’re a little bit bored but he still has great enthusiasm for the game and works very hard to do the things that he's always done. He's as good as I've ever seen at coming off the baseline screens and catching the ball and shooting it which seems simple, but trying to teach people to do it … he's made it a real art.

"Being with the same franchise 18 years gives you leadership and leadership is hard to come by in this league. You have so many guys that would like to be leaders but not many of them are really interested in the organization. I was fortunate to have two guys (Karl Malone and John Stockton) and to watch Reggie stay here, I know he had a couple of contract things that came up in his career but he stayed here and the Pacers kept him here. It's important to the organization to have continuity with as many players as possible."

---------------------------

wow rick, you s*ck at this don't you?

how can you compare someone to players who never even had as a complete game as miller?

Miller's the league's all-time leader in 3-pointers made and attempted, and nobody else is even close. He stands 12th on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

Now tell me, are Hornacek and Gill near the 12th all-time scoring list?

I don't think so.

----------------------------

you remember Reggie Miller brought the team to the EC finals with 3 of their players injured right? He made no excuses.

But reality bit him.

You stop debating now, you've been schooled, study more and grow.
Ray Allen is a better player than him..IMO
I wasnt going to respond to this question, but after seeing these ignorant responses, i have no choice....

Reggie Miller is a hall of famer, who will go down as one of the best shooting guards ever. There are very few people who were as clutch with the game on the line, ecspecially in the playoffs. He is the all time three point king...no body came off a screen better than reggie miller. AND his defense wasnt as bad as some of your responses indicate. He constantly frustrated oppenents by getting under their skin with his defense. AND he did all this with role players, stockton had malone and jordan had pippen...who the hell did reggie miller have...detlef shremp...rik smits...cmon people, i know you guys are smarter than that.

Give credit where credit is due...Reggie Miller was GREAT
Who the hell is Reggie Miller?
Yea I have to disagree with you here. Reggie played with Indiana forever and made the playoff a bunch of times. Reggie was one the best clutch shooters ever. The all-star game appearances don't mean anything. 5 time all-star is pretty good. No one makes it every year. He played great forever and was one of the best shooters ever. He diserved a title beings he was one of the greatest players ever to play.
yes.
yaa.. you are the only one who thinks that ...!
Lack of defense? ... You mean like this:)

Face it , Jordan was OVERRATED - and you know nothing about basketball. ... LMAO!!

Michael Jordan has 6 rings thanks to Pippen. Otherwise , he'd just be a Bald-headed Dominique Wilkins!

MICHAEL JORDAN SUCKS!

_____________

Jordan couldn't even get the Bulls TO the Eastern Conf Finals when he came back ( he was only retired for 1-1/2 seasons). They lost to Orlando in the 2nd round, thanks to a MAJOR Jordan CHOKE!

Why was Jordan 1-10 in the playoffs without Pippen????

You need to get off Jordan's nuts and recognize that it was Pippen that led the Bulls - not Jordan

Lyrics:

A little less conversation, a little more action please

All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me

A little more bite and a little less bark

A little less fight and a little more spark

Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me

Satisfy me baby

Baby close your eyes and listen to the music

Drifting through a summer breeze

It's a groovy night and I can show you how to use it

Come along with me and put your mind at ease

A little less conversation, a little more action please

All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me

A little more bite and a little less bark

A little less fight and a little more spark

Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me

Satisfy me baby

Come on baby I'm tired of talking

Grab your coat and let's start walking

Come on, come on

Come on, come on

Come on, come on

Don't procrastinate, don't articulate

Girl it's getting late, gettin' upset waitin' around

A little less conversation, a little more action please

All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me

A little more bite and a little less bark

A little less fight and a little more spark

Close your mouth and open up your heart and baby satisfy me

When is the best time to buy sold out tickets?

i want to go to a concert, but the tickets are expensive right now. will they get cheaper the day before or the day of or will a scalper sell them cheaper?

When is the best time to buy sold out tickets?nba statistics

try http://www.razorgator.com I've had good luck with them. They're pretty reasonable. I've seen scalpers after the show has begun that have had decent prices (trying to dump them at the last minute), but I wouldn't bank on it. Ebay might work too. I've heard of people selling tickets there, you might get lucky.

When is the best time to buy sold out tickets?nba store ,nba teams

nope... they will stay high. Buy before they are sold out or decide to pay more money later
You may luck out if you go to the box office right before the show. Scalpers don't sell the tickets cheaper- they tend to inflate the price to make a profit. Maybe you can try ticketmaster a day or two before the show, they will re-sell tickets that were ordered but not payed for (credit cancellations, cancelled sales, etc.).
buy them before they are all sold out.
buy now

price is usually by seating

the best seats go first

scalper tickets could be counterfeit. even if it has pretty holograms etc. (happened to me)

will call might have some cancelations (just luck)

Why do people think steve nash is better than what he really is?

the only reaon he gets 11 assists a game is because he has 2 other ALL-STARS on his team in stoudimire and marion and two potential all-star in diaw and barbosa its like a mini-all-star team, kirk hinrich/allen iverson/andre miller/jason kidd would all put up the same stats with that kind of supporting cast, john stockton had alot more assits than steve nash and nevber won the mvp award, take nash away from the suns and their still gonna win 50 game, im saying saying nash sucks, but he is in no way shape or form in the top 10 players in the nba.

Why do people think steve nash is better than what he really is?nba salary cap

becuz he's the best point guard for the NBA.

Why do people think steve nash is better than what he really is?nba rumors ,nba teams

Nash is an outstanding player according to his pg stats. I think most of the Suns are a pretty good game. He has helped them throughout a period of time now, and he's putting up a mean fight to get on top. I think they have a chance with or without Nash, but I still think he's probably the best on the team. Then Marion, Stoudemire, Barbosa, and etc.
Who knows? He's a punk.
He can shoot threes effective, he can penatrate and kickout, he makes some pretty nice passes and just becuase you have 2 other all stars doesn't mean ur garunteed 11 assists. You have to get them the ball in an effective postition
Eh he wouldn't receive any credit if he doesn't have all star teammates. He's playing alongside guys who are incredibly talented and are fantastic finishers. Plus, he fits perfectly in D'Antoni's offensive system thats why. He's playing along Marion and Amare. HUGE PLUS!!

When he was in Dallas, the last year he played, 2003-2004, the lineup looked like this in the playoffs. These guys didn't start all year but they got the majority of the minutes on the floor together (around 25-30) at the same time

C - Dirk Nowitzki

PF - Antoine Walker

SF - Antawn Jamison

SG- Michael Finley

PG - Nash....

No who the hell wouldn't play alongside those terrific scorers???? Of course he made passes to guys who finish well like the ones listed above and hence people "praise" him. What an overrated player!! He's lucky to be on talented teams
have you seen the suns play when nash is injured and can't play? notice the difference and then tell me he doesn't matter.
Nash is overrated , i don't think he will pull in half the numbers of what people are expecting
wow, um go to hell and never come back.
he is the best point guard in the nba
honestly, i just think he's super hot!!!
to be honest, nash's game is not just about the stats he produces night in night out. you mentioned names that belong to the elite list of point guards and nash deserves to be there because:

he can change a game. he is capable of coming up with a big play either in offense or defense. he can make things happen on the court. nails a critical shot or hits a game-changing pass. he can make crucial steals to break the momentum of their opponents.

as i said it's not just about HIS stats. you've also mentioned that he is surrounded by all-star caliber players.

it's not easy to make a team gel with players with egos. but that's what nash does. he holds the team together ensuring that everyone is a teamplayer. you don't really get to see that much of attribute in most of the players today.
Job well done. Keep spreading the message. Nash sucks %26amp; he's not a mvp player. Marion %26amp; Amare is better then Nash!

p.s. Check out my question about Nash. It is, Does Steve Nash makes Shawn Marion better? You're a realist %26amp; I know you'll be able to see my point on that question.
I feel the same way as you do. People give steve nash props because he can get 15 points and 15 assist WELL... If he didn't have the team that can hit the shots he gives them he wouldn't get all those assists instead he would be getting 6 or mayb 7assist a game. People who see his stats just seem to think he is awesome, i disagree, he is good but he isn't one of the best of all time.
I tend to think that without Nash, everyone else on that team would pretty much suck. Without Nash, they would be in a fierce battle with the Memphis for 15th place in the West.
First off, the only pg that you mentioned that could even touch Nash is Kidd. Secondly, he is the best pg in the league, and third, he made Phoenix a possible NBA Champ team. Nash is by far not overrated, and will probably get a third consecutive MVP. If this is not enough to prove he is AMAZING than you should really rethink your stance on Nash.
hes the best pure point guard in the league
you a ******* hater

hes the best pg in the nba

u hating cause hes white u fuking racist ho
Nash is a good offensive player, but he is not sound defensively. Even Stockton who was undersized and weaker managed to be effective on the defensive end by playing the passing lane and a leader in steals.

Nash is a very one sided player. He is not an all around basketball player. However, he is definitely an All Star point guard. I just dont consider him among the best in NBA history who truly deserves multiple MVP honors.
In Stocktons best years, MJ, and Larry, Magic, Hakeem and David Robinson were winning MVP's so thats not a fair point.

"Take away nash from the suns and their stll gonna win 50 games"

In 2003-2004 the suns were the same only without Nash and Diaw, but they had Joe Johsnon and Stephon Marbury. They won 27 Games. The next year with Nash, they won 62.
This is taken from another question I answered about Steve Nash. Don't be offended if you think some of this targets you, because the guy I was saying this to was accusing the NBA of making assists a racist stat:

"Got no shot, and only assists? Yeah, right! Take a look at some of these stats:

-Steve Nash is 2nd in the NBA in 3 pointer percentage (behind Jason Kapono of Miami, who takes almost half the three pointers that Nash does)

-"Most white guys are not scorers"? Nash currently has 19.3 points per game, placing him second in scoring on the Suns team, a full point ahead of Shawn Marion and a few TENTHS of a point behind yuh boi "AMARE" Stoudemire, at 19.8 PPG. I don't know about you, but that makes a white guy look pretty good next to his "BROTHAS".

-In the NBA, where making all your free throws is a must, Steve Nash ranks 11th in FT% at 88.2%. AMARE has yet to hit 80%.

-Nash also is 11th in field-goal percentage, at 53.6%. True, AMARE ranks third at 60%, but how many of those are from 2 feet away from the basket, or dunks? Those are what we in the basketball world like to call "high-percentage shots." Wait, let me put that into simpler terms so you can understand. That's what we like to call, "You are so freakin' close to the basket that my arthritis-stricken grandmother could make this" shots. Credit must be given to Nash for having a much wider range to attack the basket with, not just settling for the easy layup or dunk, and still having the consistency that he has.

-The Suns are currently the highest-scoring NBA team at more than 111 PPG. This is almost FIVE points more than the runner-up, Washington.

-In the 2005 Playoffs, Nash and the Suns steamrollered the competition, beating Memphis 4-0 and Dallas 4-2. Although they succumbed to the Spurs' defense 4-1 in the Conference championship, Nash recorded averages of 30.3 points, 12.0 assists, and 6.5 rebounds per game in the series against his former team.

As if that weren't enough for you, get this: Phoenix had a 29-53 record. WITH AMARE, AND MARION. In Steve Nash's first season, the Suns ended with a league-best 62-20 record. Still not convinced? In 2005, Joe Johnson demanded a trade, and was swapped with Atlanta's Boris Diaw. Diaw was later named the NBA's Most Improved Player. Maybe that should put an end to your theory that AMARE's the MVP.

Wait, maybe I'm giving you too many statistics. Nash has something unmeasurable: Basketball IQ. Yes, that's right, intelligence DOES transition into the world of sports! You'll hear basketball announcers talk about this all the time, provided you actually watch games. Basketball IQ consists of knowing how to direct movement of the ball, anticipate flow of offense and defense on both sides of the court by both teams, play unselfishly, penetrate and overcome defenses, and finding the open man. Nash has it, and Stockton had it. Why else do you think the Jazz could get to the NBA Finals two straight years in a row? Pistol Pete had it too. You should read Adrian Wojnarowski's article of Yahoo! Sports, "Basketball's virtuoso." And speaking of guards, take a look at other guards who have won the MVP title. Although I won't do it for you, read up on Magic Johnson.

All this brings me back to my point two paragraphs ago. Sure, AMARE and Co. may have had the potential to score, but basketball is all about play-making. You will rarely make baskets if you can't find easy/open shots, and that is exactly what Nash brings to the team. Essentially, Steve Nash makes everyone play better. Just ask Boris Diaw."

So basically, to put that lengthy answer I made into an analogy, the other Suns players are like pins in a lock. The pins may be there, but the lock won't turn by itself, not without the right element. Steve Nash is that element. He is the key to the Suns' offense. Just look at the games the Suns played when his shoulder was injured. And remember, the Suns were 29-53 before Nash came, and that was the team with Stoudemire and Marion. So much for "take nash away from the suns and their still gonna win 50 game".

While it is true that Nash needs the kind of supporting cast he has in Phoenix to run the kind of offense they do, the supporting cast needs him a lot more. With Nash, the Suns have a key, a key that makes all the pins fit into the right places. And with this, the lock is unlocked and the door opens.
KOBE OVER NASH

NASH IS LIKE A CONFEDERATE

OWNED WHEN IT COUNTS!!!!!!

He sucks flat out
first of all Allen Iverson is a 2 gaurd. So are you telling if you took jason kidd out of new jersey that they would've went to the nba finals. Andre Miller and Kirk Hinrich are you kidding me are you putting them in the same class with they other player you're crazy. Steve Nash is that good he make players around him better last year they did'nt have amari stoudimire. Mark Cuban fd up by not resigning him or they dallas would' ve been the defending champs for years to come WAIT A MINUTE ARE YOU A MAVERICKS FAN
nash sucks yo seriously he gets like 10 pts a game and 30 assists plus hes a ugly little dude too........
Nash is an excellent point guard regardless of his teammates. U can disagree with me but he is good at not only passing but also shooting. Though I have to admit that he got so many assists in Phoenix is because they are playing a running/uptempo game. He is still an important part of Phoenix team. Look at the games that he did not play this year, Phoenix loses 4 of 6 games without him. But I like Jason Kidd better than Nash cos Kidd is a real true all round point guard.
Steve Nash is in a great system right now. The Suns run an international style offense and Nash has mastered it from the point guard position; I also think he's a great basketball player with an exception basketball I.Q.
I used to think that Nash was overrated, but after watching him more and more that guy is the real deal. He makes that team go. Whoever he plays against he has his way. And by the way I am a San Antonio Spurs fan so it pains me to give him props, but if the guy is all that, he's just all that...

Is anybody beginning to think Jason Kidd is a creep?

He is a great basketball player, no doubt. He has consistently performed with all of his teams as a professional athlete. I cannot help reading all of these reports about his off the court domestic violence charges, and beginning to realize that he is a complete creep. What kind of "All-Star" abuses his wife physically and emotionally and sleeps around with news reporters? NBA Media: Stop praising this man!

i guess u just base ur decision and make ur own opinion

ok, seriously. Yes he is a creep, but do you know how many dudes do the same thing , famous or not? Its pathetic. Hes getting the spotlight I guess because everyone wanted to think hes some type of saint. HE's NOT!! Report It

Dude that was like 5 yeras ago get a life. Go geta life
man think for yourself dont let the media control your mind. jason kidd seems like a good person but the truth is I dont know, you dont know, and you should shut the hell up.
well the rest of the NBA is crap so I'm sure it was going to suck Jason Kidd into it sooner or l8er. He made a big mistake with those violence charges, but other than that, I thought of him as a pretty good guy.
