I think your assessment of Kobe Bryant is a bit unfair. Kobe is a great player. Without him, the Lakers would have been battling the Celtics for ping pong balls in the lottery. No he is not MJ, he isn't Bird, and he isn't Magic. He is an incredible talent. Lets assess where he stands with the greats once he finishes his career.

He can give it to you any way he wants to. From outside or inside. All the numbers of titles you are showing doesn't mean anything. They had great supporting casts. Kobe's doing it by himself. Kobe is active now and playing under the conditions he (and the rest of the City of L.A.) begged for just before Shaq was forced out.

The Lakers were not even in the playoffs the first year after Shaq left and Shaq has won a title with the Heat.

So Kobe is #52 in all time attempts and number #66 in field goals made. If Kobe is so freaking "great" of a shooter, why isn't he #52 or better in SHOTS GOING IN as well?

Kobe Bryant does not suck, he just shoots too much. Actually, if he would pass more he would be less predictable. Those double and triple teams that he shoots against would not be as aggressive. What's more, he would actually SCORE MORE because a higher percentage of his shots would be going in. Who knows how many more 50+ point games he would have...

Plus, he wouldn't have to hit those freaking playground "sloppers" that clang off the rim for an instant fast break for the other team.
